Winds Of Change

The elements and their meanings or impact they can have on life, metaphysically, is a topic you might frequently come across when learning about higher truths.

Here are a few such references...

And though they don't always seem to line up with each other, it still seems curious that similar concepts can be found all over the planet. Plus, the fact that they don't line up could also have different reasons. For example, for a people to simply have confused the directions and concept, or also, with Ptahhotep probably to have written this thousands of years ago, it could perhaps be that polar shifts could have brought about massive change, including around such terms.

Anyhow, I'll start with Sergio Magaña, with a section from "The Toltec Prophecies" briefly going into how imbalances of Fire, Wind, Water and Earth can be expressed.

Furthermore, in the ancient Toltec tradition, there are four Fires, four Winds, four Earths and four Waters.

Fire

An imbalance of Fire in humans produces anger, inflammation, cancer and abnormal growths.

Fire is not as unbalanced as Earth and Water at present, but that's not to say that it is balanced. On a personal level, a Fire imbalance presents first as anger, which we can see is on the rise today. Then it manifests as inflammations of all kinds, all the way to the development of cancer, which is already one of the leading causes of death around the world.

On a global level, we have experienced a rise in devastating Fires in places such as Australia and California, while the lack of female Fire, one of the four types of Fire, has caused personal relationships to deteriorate.

The Fire of wisdom is, however, increasing, as can be seen in the numbers of people who have spiritually awakened. In other people, though, it is being constantly extinguished. So, overall, a more divided society is being created.

The Fires are the strength behind our immune system, the part of our body that has been the most compromised in the first phase of this transition. Three of the Fires are male and one is female:

  • The Young Fire: This is the wild Fire that burns furiously, races away and ends up consuming acres and acres. It is the Fire behind our vitality, our strength. Our immune system is stimulated by this Fire, which is also the Fire of war, to destroy viruses, bacteria and cancer
  • The Female Fire: This is considered the Fire of home, the one that cooks with love, keeps the home fires burning, and bring the warmth of tenderness. Our immune system urgently needs this Fire to upgrad ist vibration and make the Earth a place where we feel at hom without the need to fight.
  • The Ancient Fire, the Fire of Knowledge: This is the wise Fire that many cultures say the gods gave to humanity. It is the one that lights the uncertain path through the underworld of complete darkness and alows us to see the way forward.
  • The Solar Fire: This is associated with great success in any area we take it to.

Water

An imbalance of Water creates emotional problems, addictions, droughts (situations of lack), floods (excess of all kinds) and hail (destructive situations), on both a personal and global level.

With Water, the principal component of our blood, an imbalance is first seen through emotional problems. As I mentioned earlier, these have intensified lately. On a planetary level, we also see this imbalance in the many droughts, which reflect a collective lack; floods, which reflect human excess; and hail or snowstorms, which represent destruction.

Earth

An imbalance of Earth - both our inner Earth our Mother Earth - produces poverty, infections and earthquakes. A lack of balance here is first apparent through poverty, which has increased worldwide in recent decades, with the gap between rich and poor growing larger every day.

If the imbalance is not recognized and addressed during this early stage, as of course it has not been, it moves to a second level. This is when infections arise. We have had many examples, from AIDS and Ebola all the way to the coronavirus pandemic.

If we do not change the path we're on at this point, we will fall into a premature state of decay, with a massive number of deaths. Therefore, I sincerely hope this book and others with similar messsages, will lead us back to a healthy path and restore our relationship with the element of Earth.

Wind

As also mentioned already in my previous post talking about the Toltec teachings, the wind, according to the Toltecs, can mean 'old energy' = karma. But karma can refer to any activity, good and bad.

An imbalance of Wind produces respiratory problems, brings the consequences of actions on a personal and global level and causes difficulties in manifesting anything in life.

Wind is also one of the less unbalanced elements at the moment, but this is changing. This is because of what is happening with the four different types of Wind:

    • The Red Wind of the West, which purifies, is blowing with less strength
    • The Blue Wind of the South, which removes thorns from our path, is almost blocked
    • The Yellow Wind of the East, which brings good advice and fortune, is still being felt by a group of people
    • But the Black Wind of the North, the black Fire, which brings misfortune and disgrace, has unleashed its full strength

Eliza White Buffalo attributes each one of the elements to a different cardinal direction...

North: Mind - Air - Unknown - Courage - Hope - White

East: Spirit - Fire - Guidance - Understanding - Peace - Yellow

South: Emotion - Water - Known - Abundance - Grace - Red

West: Body - Earth - Death - Power - Healing - Black

Ptahhotep associates the four sides of the pyramid with the four faces of God.

And each is associated with a different wind:

'The four sides of the pyramid symbolize the four faces of God, each of which taken alone and by itself manifests the three aspects of the first source, the divinity at rest within itself and standing above all creation. The pyramid reveals a living reality, the living law, in which God always and absolutely manifests himself in the material world, and because he does so he is indwelling in everything that has been created.

'From every point of the universe God manifests himself four-fold. In each of the four directions of the earth and the sky he radiates with a different effect. And because these streams of force, which originate at one point and yet arc so very different, all come forth from the paradisiacal unity, we can speak of them figuratively as four great rivers springing up in the centre of paradise, where the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil are rooted, and flowing out into the external world in four different directions. 'You will find this four-fold manifestation in everything that has been created, most noticeably in the four characteristics of the great currents of air, the winds.

All "four different directions have completely different effects."

'The north wind is dry, cool, with a quieting and paralyzing effect. In many parts of the world it even makes water hard as stone. 'The south wind always brings heat and has an arousing, vitalizing effect. 'The east wind is cool, refreshing. 'The west wind brings warmth and dampness-in many places rain. Its effect is fatiguing and soporific.

'This is something you already know, because every child notices the different effects of the four major winds. But have you ever thought about how this is possible? Have you ever wondered how it comes about that currents of air can start at the selfsame spot on the surface of the earth and have different effects depending on the direction in which they flow? If, for example, a wind arises right where we are now, where we feel the air to be pleasant and mildly warm, and if it blows southward, it is obviously coming from the north for people living in countries to the south of us. It brings them cool weather and has a calming effect on all living creatures. But when a wind starts up from where we are and blows northward, it's a south wind for people living to the north of us. It brings them warm weather and has a stimulating effect on the organs of reproduction of all living creatures.

How is it possible for both a cold and a warm wind to originate at one and the same point on the surface of the earth - a tranquilizing and a stimulating wind - bringing dampness and rain to people on one side and dry weather to people on the other? It all depends on the direction in which the air is flowing.

'You see, that is the law of space we call the four faces of God. 'The first face - the north face - is fiery and has a vitalizing effect. That's why the south wind brings heat and stimulates living creatures to conceive new life.

'The second - the west face - is airy and cool. It makes everything movable, and that's why the east wind is refreshing.

'The third face of God - his eastern face - is damp, wet and lukewarm. It brings heaviness, inertia, warmth, dampness and precipitation, making all living creatures sleepy. Their consciousness withdraws into their bodies.

'And lastly the fourth face - the south face of God - is cold. It has a contracting, astringent, crystallizing, materializing effect. It brings cold and calms the nerves.

'The first and most important manifestation of the four faces of God is the fiery one, because the effects of the other manifestations - the other faces - depend on this one. The kind of fire determines whether the weather gets hot, warm, cool or cold.

That's why the fiery face of God is the father of the others. As a result of its radiation, the various specific states arise: the warm and dry together produce the gaseous airy condition: the cool and damp the aqueous', while the cold produces the hard, earthly condition.

'You find this law operating everywhere here on earth, in every tree, in every plant. Take any house, for example. The south side which receives the currents from the north face of God is warm and plants grow best on this side. The north side is cold, the east side is dry and the west side is always damp. Whenever we make rain in the pyramid, the precipitation hits all buildings from the west.

'This fourfold aspect is not only to be found in the major winds, but in everything that has been created. Look at the trees. The northern side- exposed to the radiation from the cool southern face of God-is always covered with moss. Have you ever wondered why the human being has only one face, and that towards the front? In the direction in which we face we are fiery, giving, whereas when we turn our back on something we are cool towards it, Our limbs, too, are all directed forward, and we can radiate our willpower only in the direction in which we are facing. And why do we sleep best when lying in a north to south direction? Why do all animals lie down this way? Why are even birds' nests and ant hills built in a north to south direction,? Animals have no intellect to understand the reasons why, but they feel the effect of quieting radiations coming from the north and vitalizing currents from the south. Instinctively they feel it's best for the circulation of their own current of life when they build their nests in a north to south direction and when they sleep this way.

'That's the secret of why a person who is seeking connection with God and praying [or meditating] should face north or east, but never south or west. In the north and in the east he can find forces that lead him towards spiritualization, whereas in the south and in the west he finds stimulation which leads his consciousness to identify itself with his sensual instincts.' The effects of God's fourfold radiation are always the same throughout the entire universe.

Every point in the universe-and this includes of course every point on the face of the earth - always receives exactly the same radiation from any given direction. The four faces of God can never turn or shift. They always stand unchanged, immutable, facing in their original direction."

Windhorse

Chögyam Trungpa introduces a different concept associated with the Wind: Windhorse.

As for the meaning here:

"The wind principle is that the energy of basic goodness is strong and exuberant and brilliant. It can actually radiate tremendous power in your life. But at the same time, basic goodness can be ridden, which is the principle of horse.

By following the disciplines of warriorship, particularly the discipline of letting go, you can harness the wind of goodness."

"Windhorse is a translation of the Tibetan lungta."
It is related to the concept of drala, that I mentioned on the blog before. It is known as "secret drala, which is the product of invoking the external and internal drala principles.

Because you have created a sacred environment around you and because you have synchronized your body so beautifully, so immaculately, therefore you provoke tremendous wakefulness, tremendous nowness in your state of mind.

Invoking secret drala is the experience of raising windhorse, raising a wind of delight and power and riding on, or conquering, that energy.

Such wind can come with great force, like a typhoon that can blow down trees and buildings and create huge waves in the water. The personal experience of this wind comes as a feeling of being completely and powerfully in the present. The horse aspect is that, in spite of the power of this great wind, you also feel stability [...] and you experience a state of mind that is free from subconscious gossip, free from hesitation and disbelief."

Lastly, here a video of Nassim Haramein talking about Quantum Entanglement.

Did the above make you think of something else? What if one were to break wind and it is entangled with a planet or a solar system or a galaxy on the other side of the Universe? Worst-case scenario: what might this mean for life on this planet or planetary system?
